19th Regional Innovation Policies Conference

October 22–24, 2025

Venice, Italy

The 19th Regional Innovation Policies Conference brought together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners at the Venice School of Management of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The conference is recognized as an important international forum for exchanging ideas on regional innovation processes, regional economies, and policy strategies.

This year’s edition focused on the Twin Transition – the simultaneous transformation toward a digital and sustainable society. Discussions centered on how regional policies can be designed to effectively support technological, ecological, and social transformations. The conference also provided a platform to explore how innovation ecosystems are evolving in response to new resilience strategies and how regional specializations can strategically contribute to fostering disruptive innovations and achieving sustainable development goals.

Dr. Sebastian Losacker also contributed to the scientific program with a presentation entitled:

“Mapping the European Twin Transition: An Evolutionary Perspective on Green and Digital Regional Development.”
