3rd TRAKR Workshop: The Policy Dimensions of Transformative Knowledge Regions

April 15-17, 2026

Neuchâtel, Schweiz

Dr. Sebastian Losacker and Dr. Lennart Fischer participated in the third workshop of the RSA Research Network on Transformative Knowledge Regions (TRAKR), titled “The Policy Dimensions of Transformative Knowledge Regions”, in Neuchâtel.

Following a series of workshops and webinars on concepts, methods, and the development of academic papers, this third event focused on the policy dimensions of transformative knowledge regions.

The workshop addressed key questions related to the advancement of innovation, knowledge, and regional policies in the context of sustainable transformations. It brought together researchers to link conceptual approaches with policy practice, foster interdisciplinary exchange, and generate impulses for future research and policy agendas.

Sebastian Losacker and Lennart Fischer actively contributed to the workshop with two presentations:

Old roots, new routes: A revaluation perspective on the geographies of innovation (Sebastian Losacker)

Mind the gap: considering regional transformative capacities for transformative innovation policy (Lennart Fischer).

Following the sessions, discussions were further deepened during a joint hike.
