June 29 - July 4, 2025

Dresden, Germany

Sebastian Losacker held a keynote lecture at the 38th European Regional Science Association (ERSA) Summer School at the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) in Dresden. In his lecture entitled ‘The use of sequence analysis in research on green regional innovation’, he demonstrated how geographical sequence analysis can be used in research on green innovation at the regional level.

In addition to the keynote speech, the participants learnt how to implement and realise such an analysis in R in a hands-on exercise. The Summer School was entitled ‘Sustainability, Innovation and Regional Development’ and was organised by Artem Korzhenevych (IOER and TU Dresden). In the mornings,  the participants gained insights into current research through keynote lectures, while in the afternoons they were able to present their own research.
