IIDEOS Workshop

A part of the research group participated in the IIDEOS meeting ("Innovation, Industrial Dynamics, Entrepreneurship, Organisation, and Space") at Philipps University Marburg. The IIDEOS PhD program represents a joint project of Philipps University Marburg, the University of Kassel, and Leibniz University Hannover.

Workshop Transitions in Construction

The research group participated in an exchange workshop with the CIRUS working group at Eawag (the water research institute of the ETH domain). Sebastian Losacker introduced the TRABBI project and Christian Binz presented the project at Eawag.

Tim Becker attended the Geography of Innovation Winter School in Pavia, Italy from January 15-19, 2024. The Geography of Innovation Winter School provided an intensive training program for PhD students and early career researchers and gave participants the opportunity to present their ongoing research and receive feedback from renowned scholars in the field.

The junior research group gave various presentations at GeoInno 2024 in Manchester in the sessions 'Opening Green Windows: Technological Opportunities in a Low-carbon World', 'Innovation in the Bioeconomy and Regional Sustainability Transitions: Promises, Pitfalls and Contradictions', and 'Narratives, News, and the Power of Sentiments'. Dr. Sebastian Losacker also organized and led the session 'Innovation in the Bioeconomy and Regional Sustainability Transitions: Promises, Pitfalls and Contradictions'.

Bioeconomy Forum 2023

Lennart Fischer participated as one of 250 actors from science, business, politics, and administration in the Bioeconomy Forum of the Federal Government's Bioeconomy Council at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Status meeting of the funding measure 'Bioeconomy as societal change'

Dr. Sebastian Losacker and Dr. Lukas Kriesch participated in the status meeting of the junior research groups funded under the initiative “Bioeconomy as Societal Change” at the Eberswalde University of Sustainable Development (HNE Eberswalde). The aim of the event was to foster academic exchange and professional networking among the junior research groups. Researchers had the opportunity to discuss their findings with one another as well as with representatives from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Projektträger Jülich (PtJ).

AK Industriegeographie - 38th annual meeting 2023

The junior research group gave various presentations on the topics of 'Web Mining', 'Socio-technical Imaginaries', and 'Green Windows of Opportunity' at the 38th annual meeting of the AK Industrial Geography in Wiesbaden. The aim of the meeting is to provide a forum for the discussion of current research concepts and completed as well as ongoing research projects in an informal atmosphere. Junior researchers and doctoral candidates are strongly encouraged to present their projects.
