Dr. Francesca Mazzoni, Dr. Christian Binz, and Dr. Sebastian Losacker have published their new article, “What can the bamboo industry learn from timber? Resource mobilization across global innovation systems in the construction sector”, in the journal Geoforum.

Linda Lütkes, together with Prof. Peter Dirksmeier and Leonie Tuitjer, has published a new article entitled "From committed to dismissive: how conspiracy mentality and trust in the democratic (political) system shape climate policy perspectives in Germany" in the journal Climate Policy.

Dr Lukas Kriesch and Dr Sebastian Losacker have successfully published their new article “A geolocated dataset of German news articles” with Nature Portfolio in Scientific Data.

Sebastian Losacker held a keynote lecture at the 38th European Regional Science Association (ERSA) Summer School at the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) in Dresden. In his lecture entitled ‘The use of sequence analysis in research on green regional innovation’, he demonstrated how geographical sequence analysis can be used in research on green innovation at the regional level.

Francesca Mazzoni, a visiting researcher in the TRABBI project since April 2023, has successfully defended her PhD thesis at the Gran Sasso Science Institute.

From June 4 to 8, the TRABBI team participated in the 7th Global Conference on Economic Geography in Worcester, USA – the world's largest conference in the field of economic geography. With three presentations, the team was strongly represented.

Lennart Fischer attended the 16th International Conference on Sustainability Transitions. This year, the conference was organized by ISCTE and IGOT in Lisbon and is part of the STRN (Sustainability Transitions Research Network).

Dr Lukas Kriesch and Dr Sebastian Losacker, together with Dr Milad Abbasiharofteh, have published a new article in Regional Studies, Regional Science. Entitled "The geography of digital and green (twin) firms in Germany", the study examines the spatial distribution of digital, green, and so-called twin firms across the country.

Dr Sebastian Losacker, Tim Becker, and Yongmin Shang have published a new research article in Innovation and Development. Entitled “Guanxi and innovation in China: insights from the (bio-based) construction sector”, the study explores the role of guanxi, denoting the network of trust-based relationships, in driving innovation in China’s construction sector.

On 29 and 30 May 2025, Charlotte Lobensteiner and Lennart Fischer took part in the 10th annual conference of the Network for Early Career Researchers in Sustainability Transitions (NEST). The conference was held at the University of Sussex in Brighton, United Kingdom, and provided an international platform for interdisciplinary exchange among early career researchers in the field of sustainability transitions.
